Ordering Information
Military Plaque Ordering:
As each piece is so individual, it is more or less impossible to hold stock designs, therefore please supply your name, email address, a contact telephone number & an outline of what you would like on your plaque. We will then contact you to discuss your requirements, ensuring that you get the plaque which best suits your needs, & confirm your order.
If necessary, we will ask you to forward us a copy of your intended crest/craft or design so that we can carry out necessary artwork.
If you need a plaque by a certain date (e.g. a leaving gift), please allow at least 2 weeks notice, & we will do our very best to get your plaque to you by the required date.
To avoid any errors, & to ensure your plaque exactly meets your requirements, we will email you a design (similar to shown) for you to check & confirm the design. Any necessary changes can be made to the designs in these early stages. Only when you are happy with the design will orders be processed.
Please check these designs carefully & ensure that you have double checked all spelling needed for inscriptions, as mistakes cannot be rectified after engraving.

House Sign Ordering:
As with our Military signs, we offer a full design service for the house plaques too.

Payment:
Payment is required at point of ordering, We can accept PayPal, Bank Transfers or Cheques. These details will be supplied at time of ordering. Once your payment has been received, & your order confirmed, work on your plaque will begin. Delivery is within 2 weeks.

Postage & Packing (UK) Mainland.
Military Plaque Postal Costs are indicated on our Military Plaque Page.
House Sign Postal Costs are indicated on our House Plaque Page.
For postage of larger plaques, or indeed larger numbers of plaques, we will calculate the cost based on either Royal Mail Services, or Courier, dependant on which is most appropriate & inform you of the costs before processing your order
If ordering from outside of the UK, your postal costs will be calculated & you will be informed of these charges before your order is processed.
Delivery
We will contact you once your plaque has been dispatched, giving approximate delivery times. Most orders are completed & dispatched within 14 days of receipt of payment, & most are completed well within this timescale. Only in extreme cases, such as large orders, will your order be longer than 28 days.
Care of your plaque
Slate is very easy to care for, & will only need rubbing over with a soft cloth from time to time. Please DO NOT use any cleaning products, or abrasive cloths on your slate which could cause irreparable damage to the plaque surface.
Terms & Conditions
If you are for any reason dissatisfied with your plaque, please return it to us within 14 days, & we will be happy to refund the plaque cost.
Spelling mistakes which have been made & are our mistake, will entitle you to a full refund, or another plaque will be made for you.
Any spelling mistakes which have been made at point of ordering, & have been double checked by yourselves in your proof copy, will not qualify for any refund or return.
We cannot accept responsibility of any damage caused to your plaque by the use of abrasive cleaning products, or in the case of house signs, damage caused when fixing in place, after it has left our workshop.
Any cheques returned to us by the bank will incur a charge of £30.00 handling & administration costs.
